The Lion Nathan Code for Responsible Marketplace Activity is our commitment to responsible marketplace practices and, in particular, responsible marketplace activity.
We market to influence the brand choices of confirmed drinkers and are careful to market our brands consistent with the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Guidelines on responsible consumption. We understand that protecting the right to market our products is imperative to our future success.
Our Code incorporates and builds on the self-regulatory standards already in use in the market such as the Alcohol Beverages Advertising Code (ABAC) of which we are a signatory. Through the Code, we make a commitment to marketplace activity that is socially responsible and in line with company and community standards. We remain fully committed to the independent pre-vetting of our communication before it goes to market via AAPS in Australia and LAPS in New Zealand.
The Code, which like everything we do is based on our values, is mandatory and applies to all forms of brand marketing and commercial communications, including advertising, sponsorships, competitions, promotions, product placements, product names, product packaging, product labelling, point of sale, merchandising, internet and viral activity, events and media activity.
