Australia:

Drink Wise Australia (DWA)
Drink Wise Australia is an independent cultural change agent aimed at minimising the harm and maximising the benefits of Australia’s drinking culture.

Made up of industry and non industry representatives, Lion Nathan is represented on teh Board of DWA by Lion Nathan Australia Managing Director Andrew Reeves. Like the skin cancer awareness and anti-drink driving campaigns of the last decade, DWA will work closely with governments and community groups on developing evidence-based campaigns that empower individuals to make better choices when drinking and change what Australians consider to be appropriate behaviour. DWA's motto sums up its objective: ‘Moderation is always in good taste’.

DWA is funded by the alcohol industry and Lion Nathan will contribute over $1 million to DWA annually.

Re-thinking Drinking
Lion Nathan is a foundation sponsor of ‘Re-thinking Drinking: You’re in control’ – an education programme deployed in two-thirds of secondary schools across Australia and the most popular course of its kind.

Pathways Foundation Partnership
Having identified key ‘at risk’ groups, we joined with the Pathways Foundation as our long-term, charitable partner. To read more about our partnership and how the Pathways Foundation is helping tackle causes of misuse, please go to Sponsorships & Donations.

Funding support for Youth Off the Streets (YoTS)
To assist in their efforts to help ’at risk’ young people dealing with issues like homelessness, physical and mental abuse and addiction, Lion Nathan supports the well known charity, Youth Off The Streets (YoTS). To read more about our support and how it’s helping the YoTS team achieve cultural change, please go to Sponsorships & Donations.
