Meet Our People Why Join Us Search & Apply The Recruitment Process Graduates & Students FAQs

The purpose of an interview is not only for us to find out more about you but for you to find out more about us and the position. Here are some tips on how best to prepare.

  • Spend some time looking at our website and any other sources of information so you can learn about who we are and our brands.
  • Be on time - if you are running late please contact the interviewer or office where they are based as soon as possible.
  • Appearance - unless otherwise indicated please dress formally according to the position you have applied for. How you dress often indicates how serious you are about the job and yourself. But most importantly be comfortable.
  • Be prepared for “behavioural” based questions (questions that require you to give examples of prior experience). The best way to prepare for these questions is to go through your CV to refresh your memory about your work history and situations that you might like to draw upon. The questions you will be asked are specific to the position you have applied for.
  • Be prepared for questions that will probe your functional/technical skills and that require you to draw on past experiences in the form of specific examples. We are also very interested in what your key achievements are. You might like to practice answering a few questions with a friend.
  • You may wish to answer behavioural based questions by giving the interviewer the situation, the action you took and the outcome. It may also be appropriate for you to outline what you learnt from the experience.
  • Try to maintain good eye contact with the interviewers.
  • We will allow you time at the end of the interview for you to ask us any questions so please consider these in advance. You may wish to write these down and bring them in with you.
  • Be prepared to discuss your strengths but just as importantly your areas for development. We all have them so don’t be afraid to discuss them.
  • Nerves - we are well aware that candidates can find interviews quite stressful and we do make allowances for this. But take the time to relax beforehand, arrive in plenty of time and prepare as much as possible. And remember the interview is a two way process, it’s just as important for you to feel comfortable about the role and us.
