The Australian International Beer Awards were established in 1987 and have grown to be the second largest annual professional beer competition in the world. Conducted by the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria in conjunction with the University of Ballarat, the Awards aim to reward excellence in the field of brewing and to assist in the promotion of the brewing industry and related industries on an international scale.
